Okay, so I know this isn't the best time to be asking for help, given the economy, but some real big shit happened to me recently and there's just no way I could afford it, but I had to in order to get home.

In Dallas, my car broke down and we ended up replacing the alternator, battery, and the serpentine belt. This ended up costing me $484 by the time it was done.

We took the car to Denver, on faith that it would be fine, given that we'd just sunk that much money into it in Dallas. But no, we were wrong. On the way back, it died on the side of the road. After a long time, I spent $165 getting it towed to the nearest town. After that, we had to spend the night in that town in a hotel (another unexpected expense) and then wait on it to be looked at and then repaired. This ended up costing just shy of $800 for the water pump, timing belt, and some other stuff to go along with it.

There is still another $200 worth of work that needs to be done to the car because they broke some bolts and stuff for the thermometer, which needs to be replaced as soon as possible.

So, all in all, this has managed to cost me $1649 that I did not have.

Most of you know that I haven't had a job in a while and that we've been living off of getting food from the food banks and whatnot. I just... I need help, you guys. I really do. I tried selling my books, tried selling my jrock stuff....
